Fibre is the story in Westminster. At 89%, full fibre availability runs roughly twenty points ahead of the UK's 69% average, and in EC4A it reaches every postcode: 100%. SW3 and W1G are barely behind at 98.4% and 98.1%. Coverage is not uniform, though. W1A shows fibre at only half of its postcodes, with WC2R and SW1A also trailing at just under four in five, so a handful of outward codes lag the borough by a wide margin. Gigabit-capable services track the fibre figure closely at 89% of postcodes. The one number that undercuts the picture is superfast coverage, which at 94.6% sits a little below the UK norm of about 97%. That combination is unusual: near-universal fibre in some codes alongside a superfast rate that has not quite caught up. For most Westminster addresses, though, a full fibre connection is on the menu.

For residents the practical upshot is choice. With fibre at 89%, most postcodes can pick between fibre products at a full range of speeds rather than settling for whatever legacy line exists. The exceptions matter to a minority. In W1A only half of postcodes show fibre availability, the lowest figure among the borough's 38 outward codes in this dataset, so anyone at a lagging code should compare what is actually orderable rather than assuming central London means top-tier speeds.
