Broadband in North West Leicestershire

Start with the headline figures. Superfast broadband of 30 Mbps or more is available across 95.3% of the district, a touch under the national norm of roughly 97%. Gigabit-capable connections cover 78%, and full fibre stands at 67.9%. The spread between outward codes is what matters here. LE67 leads, with fibre passing more than four premises in five, LE65 is close behind, and LE12 sits near the district average. At the other end, the data records no full fibre at all in B79, DE11 and DE12. A household on one side of that divide can order a fibre package today. One on the other side cannot. Around 3.3% of the district still falls below 10 Mbps, so a small tail of properties remains on connections too slow for much beyond email.

For most households the practical question is which side of the fibre divide their postcode sits on. Two premises in three can order full fibre, and more than three quarters have some form of gigabit option. For the rest, superfast services at 30 Mbps and above cover 95.3% of the district, enough for ordinary streaming and home working. The 3.3% below 10 Mbps will find their choices genuinely limited.
