The notable variation appears across 22 outward codes. WC1V, W1A and N16 all show full fibre at every recorded postcode. At the other end, E8 sits at about half, with N6 around two thirds and EC2Y just under 80 per cent. So while the area-wide average is excellent, one pocket lags the rest significantly. For most residents, availability is no longer the constraint. That shifts the focus to contract terms and in-home setup rather than the network itself.

Housing decisions in Islington rarely need to factor in broadband. With full fibre recorded at 93.8% of postcodes and superfast at 97.6%, almost any address will support home working, streaming and large shared households. The exceptions cluster in E8, where availability drops to around half of recorded postcodes, with N6 and EC2Y also below the local norm. Anyone choosing between those codes and the rest of the area is making one of the few broadband-relevant location decisions this data supports.
