That combination is worth pausing on. Top-end availability has run ahead of the basic coverage gap being closed, so 6.4% of postcodes lack superfast and 3.3% cannot reach 10Mbps at all. Spread over 10,692 postcodes, the slow tail amounts to around 350 postcodes across ranges from DN14 to the HU and YO codes. For everyone else, and that is the large majority, the realistic ceiling is high and the choice of package is wide.

Day to day, the mix favours heavy users. A household that wants the fastest available line will find one at 84.1% of postcodes, better odds than the superfast figure alone implies. The flip side is the 3.3% with no usable service to speak of. In an area of this size that is not a rounding error, and anyone moving within the DN14, HU or YO codes should confirm what a specific address can get.
