Gigabit-capable services are recorded in 70.3% of postcodes, so most of the district can buy speeds far beyond what a typical household uses. Put together, Newark and Sherwood offers fast options to the majority and thin service to a persistent minority. The district covers ten outward codes, and the gap between its best-served and worst-served postcodes is wide, which makes an address-level look-up more useful than the averages.

A household's experience here depends heavily on which side of the coverage lines its postcode lands. Most can stream, game and video-call without a second thought, and seven postcodes in ten have a gigabit route if demand grows. The 3.2% below 10Mbps is the caveat. For anyone whose work or studies depend on a stable connection, that minority of postcodes is worth ruling out before signing anything.
