Below that, 2.7% cannot reach 10Mbps, and 2.7% of 21,497 postcodes is a large absolute number, somewhere near 580 locations where downloads stay in single digits.

Gigabit is where Cornwall trails most clearly. Coverage of 61.3% means roughly six postcodes in ten can go ultrafast and four in ten cannot, a much larger excluded share than the superfast figure implies. With 46 outward codes in play, from TR1 to EX23, the only safe assumption is variation. Two addresses in the same town can sit on opposite sides of both lines.

For movers the arithmetic is blunt. Six postcodes in ten offer everything a household could use. Almost three in a hundred offer close to nothing. The rest sit in the middle, superfast but not ultrafast, which suits most families yet frustrates anyone routinely shifting big files. Cornwall rewards checking the specific postcode over reading area-wide averages, because with 46 outward codes those averages hide a lot of spread.
